Making Everyday Schedules For Better Productivity

in Productivity

personal producitivityIn a few days of full time blogging, one of the lessons which I have learned is that setting short term goals is much better than planning for the long term.

I think thats because the implementation becomes much easier and we know that none of the ideas are good unless they are implemented effectively.

Hence to achieve your goals, everyday planning is necessary and here I will enlist some points which can help you achieve that in a better way thereby helping you increase personal productivity.

1: Plan the Day Ahead

Before you go to bed, just sit for 10 mins with a calm mind and plan the next day. Think about all the aspects like posts, social media, checking stats and some other pending work and decide that what should be on your agenda for the next day.

2: Set Reminders or Use Sticky Notes

After you plan, its important that you do not forget. Hence either you can use sticky notes for that purpose and paste it on your monitor, or you can use services like Remember The Milk which help you to send quick reminders to yourself.

3: Time Management

Make sure that you do planning according to the time available. If you plan to read feeds in the morning then assign it a time interval. Time management is important and once you have time limits assigned to each task, you will be at a better position to check what time you can devote to different activities.

4: Stick to Your Plan

After you are through with planning for the next day, the next important thing is implementation. Hence you should try your best to stick to the plan and complete all the tasks which you scheduled.

5: Complete Analysis

Once you are through with the day, sit and do a complete analysis. Check whether you had set realistic goals and whether you were able to achieve it. Also check which tasks took a lot of time and whether the assigned time to them was right. Hence by doing a complete analysis, you will make better plans for the next day and achieve your goals in a better manner.

The above methods have helped me a lot and I hope they benefit you too.

Hi Abhijeet,

Without any doubt, “failing to plan” is the same as “planning to fail”. A good plan can be the difference between abundant success and dismal failure.

I wish you well with your blog.

Hi,
has anyone tried Evernote ?(www.evernote.com) I believe it is in the beta testing mode and is available by invite only.

It is a personal memory pad and an online planning tool. I’d sent a request by visiting the website.I haven’t received a reply so far.

cheers
CK
