Although I started blogging at Jeet Blog in the last week of March, I officially disclosed it on 11th April, 2008. So Jeet Blog is now 50 days old and it has had a very good run so far in terms of traffic, RSS subscribers and overall online visibility.

Also I have decided to change a few things and apply a new posting strategy. But first here are the stats for the period April 11,2008 - May 31, 2008 ( Source: Google Analytics )

1: Traffic

So as you can see, total 98,690 visitors which includes 77,255 absolute unique visitors. Pageviews- 120,903 and most of it coming from the various referring sites, primarily social media sites.

Stumbleupon has been the #1 traffic source when it comes to referring sites. In search engines, its entirely Google and I am yet to see any substantial traffic from other search engines.

2: RSS Subscribers

The RSS subscribers after 50 days is nearly equal to 400. It fluctuates between 380 and 400 currently and the maximum number of RSS subscribers Jeet Blog has had in this period is 406.

3: Posts And Comments

There are total 48 posts as of now and on an average each post has received 5 comments.

Changes Going Forward

Jeet Blog’s stats may look impressive for this short period, however I believe there is a long road ahead and maintaining the consistency in stats will be the key. Since a few days, I have not been able to post consistently here due to 2 main reasons. First, I have taken up some serious freelance writing positions with some top blogs and hence they take up a huge chunk of time. Second, although I do find enough time for my blog but currently I am overwhelmed with information and most of the time I find there is so much to share that I find myself in a dilemma.

So here’s the deal- Going forward you should expect 4-5 posts everyday at this blog. It would include original content and also tips from other blogs. I know what you are thinking- another Life Hacker / Download Squad ? Well, I’d love to be in that group someday and I am inspired by them, no doubt. But I am aiming to do things differently here.

Here’s how:-

1: I’ll publish 3-4 posts everyday which would include tips as well as detailed posts.

2: I’ll also include blogging, social media and design related stuff too.

3: I’ll refrain from posting about latest news or products. Instead I’ll try to post about things which are timeless and will continue to have relevance. I am also planning to post a lot of How-to articles.

4: I will not hold back from publishing tips or tricks which have been published 1 or 2 years ago but still hold relevance today. (of course I’ll attribute )

A big thank you to my family, all my subscribers, readers, well wishers, my designer and bloggers who have helped me in my journey till now. I am sorry I am not taking any names here because there are too many of them who have helped me in one or the other way and I’ll probably dedicate an entire post to them later.
