TubeLeecher is a very simple website which lets you directly download youtube videos to your computer. You just have to copy paste the youtube video url in the download box and hit download.
However, the videos get downloaded in .flv format and hence you’d need a FLV player to run it. You can easily get a free FLV player from the internet if you don’t already have it. Just do a google search for it and you’ll find it.

I use “ITube” (www.benjaminstrahs.com) to download YouTube viseos. This handy little app works in much the same way as TubeLeecher, except that it converts the video for IPod and then imports it into ITunes, and all of this is done automatically. Best of all, it’s free!

There is another website http://www.keepvid.com that lets you download Youtube videos in high quality mp4 format besides flv.
I prefer “Kiss Youtube”. Just add “kiss” before the url of any video you want to download and press enter.
I suggest pq youtube downloader,it could also play flv files.
The one I use is Videoraptor, it downloads videos directly from websites and it can also convert the files into the formats I need in order to be played on other music players, even on cellphones
