For those who still don’t know, today is the Firefox 3 Download Day. Mozilla, the makers of Firefox are aiming for a world record of the most software downloads today.
Digital Inspiration reports that Firefox 3 will be available at 10 AM Los Angeles Time. Ghacks reports that Firefox 3 final version has already been uploaded to the Mozilla ftp site. However, I could only find the Firefox 3 release candidate 3 there, so am not sure. Moreover, downloading from their ftp site will be counted in their campaign or not, is a question.
Hence I suggest you all to download the version 3 of our favorite browser Firefox today from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/ when it is available in your time zone. For Indians, we’ll have it at around 10:30 at night. So get ready for…

I was getting error pages for ages, i’m guessing from all the people downloading today. Downloaded it eventually anyway and “readitlater” function doesn’t work!! What a jib!
Looks like the large number of hits for download killed the firefox server. I was finally able to download from one of the partner sites. An 8.0 Mb file…thats neat. looks cool at first glance. some UI changes.
