We know that Twitter is always hyperactive with hundreds of tweets floating around every second. This presents a good opportunity to find out what are the opinions of different twitter users on a particular topic of your interest. And for this purpose, today I decided to list 5 such tools which help you to effectively search twitter in real time.

1: Summize

Summize is a tool which I have been using since a few days and I have found it to be very useful. It is very fast and also provides you excellent advanced search options, through help you search specific tweets very easily.

Some other cool features of Summize include RSS feeds for your search and search in different languages. In fact it goes one step ahead and allows you to translate the other search queries to English. In fact it also has local search as one of the advanced options. Highly Recommended.

2: Tweet Scan

Tweet Scan is probably the most popular twitter search tool currently. It also has a nice interface and is pretty fast like Summize. It allows you to get results via email too.It shows you the most recent tweets from different countries in different languages but doesn’t offer to translate them.

3: Twitbuzz

Twitbuzz is another cool twitter app. Its different because apart from tracking the latest conversations, it also tracks the links which have gone popular on twitter.

4: Flaptor Twitter Search

Flaptor Twitter Search is a simple twitter search engine with one interesting feature which no other such tool offers. That is trends on twitter, which I have already described in a post earlier.

5: TwitterTroll.com

Twitter troll is another real time twitter search engines which doesn’t offer as many features as the above mentioned tools. Moreover, I have found that it doesn’t always show the most recent tweets and there is a time lapse.

If you are a writer like me, then even a twitter search engine could prove as a source of great ideas. Rest, there are other uses as well, if you really like twitter.

If you like this post, then you may consider giving it a thumbs up at stumble and also tweeting about it. Thanks :)

There are so many Twitter tools popping up each day that it really makes us confusing, which one should we stick to. Currently, I’m using TwitterFox, an add-on for Firefox.

I have found one nice tool http://www.GoogleItFaster.com . Is so clean and user-friendly, that I’m surprised why more web searching services are not using that solution. Do you have any idea?
